NOC is a distributed data system for collection, processing and storage of data regarding the secured containers, mobile security devices (MCDs), and users of the container security system (CSS).
The core of the NOC is constituted by computer servers that host databases and dedicated software for communication with the MCDs and system users.
In addition, the NOC includes CSS operator terminals and authorized CSS user terminals. The terminals provide the way to browse the container status information that is stored on the servers and to control the MCDs.
Communication between the NOC elements is maintained via Internet channels.

Two terminal types are employed in the system. The first type (Terminal ) is the dedicated authorized program installed on the user PC. The other (Web Terminal ) is the web page accessible from any computer that is connected to the internet.

The Terminal is intended mainly for the operators of shipping companies. It provides full access to the information about the status and position of the secured container and the mobile security device, and allows remote control of the mobile security device.
The Web Terminal does not have such extended functionality. It serves just for monitoring of the status and position of the secured container and gives no access to control functions of the mobile security device.

The Terminal and Web Terminal programs provide:
  • display of the list of secured containers with brief information about them;
  • search and display of complete status information of the secured containers;
  • browsing the log of events that occurred to each of the secured containers;
  • display of the secured container's position on the map;
  • remote setup of security modules' operation;
  • route assignment for the secured object;
  • recording the new containers in the system database and removal of existing records.

Terminal

Terminal program is installed on the user computer to provide extraction of data in the system database regarding the location and status of the secured containers. The program provides:
  • display of the list of secured containers with brief information about them;
  • search and display of complete status information of the secured containers;
  • browsing the log of events that occurred to each of the secured containers;
  • display of the secured container's position on the map;
  • remote setup of security modules' operation;
  • route assignment for the secured object;
  • recording the new containers in the system database and removal of existing records.
