New CMD610 R Series Delivered to Major Pharmaceutical Company !

According to coolchaineurope.com the cold chain logistics market is forecasted to reach a value of $13.4 billion in the next five years. The importance of temperature controlling and monitoring logistics is crucial and our new CMD610 R device shows that KGS is prepared with a solution for cold chain logistic needs. The CMD610 R includes, like the previous series, a second device to be placed inside of the container. This multi-device product ensures that you know exactly what the temperature of your product is, at two separate points in the container. This advancement helps secure the accuracy of our product’s reports. As always the product offers 24-hour customizable alerts the moment the temperature in a container drops below what is necessary. This new product has enabled us to extend our partnership with one of our most prominent clients, a major European pharmaceutical company. DB Schenker and KGS Secure Major Technology Company

KGS is honored to be helping power the partnership between DB Schenker and one of the largest technology companies in the world. Due to tougher regulations on the transport of electronic goods, this technology company has decided to switch from air freight to ocean freight. However, management of this company was worried about the safety and security of ocean freight. In order to assuage these concerns the company reached out to DB Schenker and KGS to help facilitate the worldwide distribution of their premium finished goods. Securing transport by sea is an entirely different task than transporting by ground or air. However KGS has the ability to secure the transportation of most goods wherever they have to go and, therefore, this change from air to ocean is not a problem for DB Schenker and KGS. We are proud to play a role in supporting the partnership between two such well regarded companies. After the first successful shipments our performance has encouraged DB Schenker and their partner in the technological industry to extend our services to the other parts of their supply chain.

If you would like to learn more about KGS’s ability to help you secure the transport of your products, no matter where or how they get ther, contact us at info@kirsensecurity.com

Kirsen presents "The latest developments on Temperature Controlled Transportation" at IQPC's 5th International Conference Cool Chain in Berlin

Kirsen Global Security was invited along with Hapaq Lloyd to co-lead the workshop titled: “Overcoming the Challenges of Converting Healthcare Shipments from Air Freight to Ocean Cargo” at the IQPC 5th International Conference Cool Chain in Berlin.  The workshop was organized by DB Schenker.

The transportation of drugs, especially their cooling, is one of the most challenging topics within the pharmaceutical industry – and its weak spot. If temperature varies too much during the process of transportation, the impact could be immense. The pharmaceutical cool chain ensures transport and distribution of drugs under specific temperature conditions and is subject to industry specific regulation which requires two main aspects: Packaging (Cooling) AND Tracking (Monitoring). Both are not only content but also technology driven. One of the key challenges with those aspects is to balance both quality and costs.

This is, where the unique Container Monitoring System from Kirsen Global Security adds tremendous value and solves both quality as well as security issues.

Details about the conference and the workshop can be found here: http://www.cool-chain-conference.com/Event.aspx?id=690484

Impressive testimonials supporting Kirsen’s real-time cargo monitoring at PDA Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Conference in Washington, D.C.

A joint team from DB Schenker and Kirsen Global Security presented the benefits of real-time container monitoring solutions at the PDA Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Conference in Washington, D.C.

The ability to monitor in real-time the temperature inside a container is especially relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, since extreme temperatures can ruin a shipment worth millions of dollars. With current data logging technologies, pharma companies may not get accurate information that the shipment has been spoiled until after it has passed through customs. With real-time monitoring, a receiver can choose not to have a spoiled container pass through customs, avoiding the time and expense of unnecessary inspections and duties.

Expert Dr. Christian Bogatu presented the benefits of using the DB Schenkersmartbox powered by Kirsen versus offline data loggers, a presentation that was endorsed by Rafik Bishara, Ph.D., a well-known expert on cold-chain management. Only real-time monitoring creates true visibility and allows supply chain and quality control managers to intervene if something goes wrong during the shipment. David Ulrich, Quality Assurance Director at Abbott Laboratories, supported Christian’s presentation by providing an overwhelmingly positive customer testimony for the DB Schenkersmartbox.
